If you saw it on TV, you can only imagine that it's quite the experience in person and worth doing at least once in your life. In '96 I was working in the city and my boss let me go, which was really cool. In '98 I made the special 2-hour trek up. I'm not a huge fan of standing outside for 6 hours in the cold, so I haven't gone since. Maybe someday.
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol
