I like Chuck Zito personally. His character on "Oz", Chuckie "The Enforcer" Pancamo was one of my favourites, he's one of the longest lasting leaders, and although he definitely has his "evil" moments, in general he's reliable and solid, a force for order (apparently the first thing Zito said to Tom Fontana once he had been cast was "I dont do rapes, I dont get raped")
The movie adaption of Philip Carlo's "The Iceman" has the potential to be pretty awesome, but it could suck terribly if it isnt done well. Im interested in seeing who elso becomes attached, in particular the director.
And nothin' for nothin', but i reckon Zito could play a great Roy DeMeo.
(cough.)

Whats so terrible about the book, it told the truth. I thought it was a good book. If it had been fiction..... Carlo has Kuklinski in MAJOR roles in the hits on Hoffa, Castellano, DeMeo and Galante. It's been about a year or so since I read the book and can't remember exacts but I recall alot of little details that were wrong too. I think Kuklinski just fed Carlo fulla shit and Carlo ran with it.

Philip Carlo is a hack (sorry DeNiro, you know I respect your opinion, but I have to differ with you on this one).
His bio on Anthony "Gaspipe" Casso may very well be the most embarrassing non-fiction effort I've ever read. I was initially happy when I saw a book on Gaspipe coming out and then saw who the author was and just said forget it. Glad to see I made the right choice.
