The '50s and '60s had many "silly" songs that became hits. One of my favorites was "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini":
I had a couple 45's by Brian Hyland. But, in the late 60's I believe, he was at a fair in Grand Rapids, MI and I got my picture taken with him. I show my kids and they say "who's Brian Hyland. Yet, I mention Itsy Bitsy, Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, then they know.
He also sang Dizzy if yo remember that one.

"Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind. War will exist until that distant day when the conscientious objector enjoys the same reputation and prestige that the warrior does today." JFK
What about Wooley Bulley (Sam The Sham) and the really really dumb, "Yummie Yummie Yummie".
Oh,and Ray Stevens was good with funny songs as was the guy who sang Spiders & Snakes (Lou Reed I believe)

I remember Purple People Eater. Wasn't Alley Oop around the same time..."There's a guy in the funny papers we all know....alley oop oop oop oop.." Of course, I was just a mere babe in arms. A lot from the 50's now that I think about it, "Short Shorts", Speedy Gonzalez" "Charley Brown".
Of course the 60's had them too.

He - (Simón Bolívar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!"
So what’s the labyrinth?
That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?
Does anyone remember the novelty record "Flying Saucer by Dickie Goodman that used originally performed lyrics from popular songs at the time (the 50s)as dialogue about flying saucers?

Ever read a sentence so quick that all kinds of Freudian slips embed themselves in your head?
"16 days since beer passed my lips..."
I just read 'piss flaps' in that somewhere.
...dot com bold typeface rhetoric. You go clickety click and get your head split. 'The hell you look like on a message board Discussing whether or not the Brother is hardcore?
Long as I remember The rain been coming down. Clouds of Mystery pouring Confusion on the ground. Good men through the ages, Trying to find the sun; And I wonder, Still I wonder, Who'll stop the rain.

Those of you in NY, would you kindly say welcome to Ahmadinejad for me with a few rotten eggs and tomatoes? Thank you.
I wouldn't waste even ROTTEN food on that bum. How about some rat turds for him?
That'll match his rat face. If I were in NY Afs, I'd stock up rotten eggs/tomatos. Although I couldn't guarantee how good a shot I'd be.
Hope you're well Afs.
