As luck would have it, I was at that game. I was on the first base side a level below. The dad made a heck of a catch and was still receiving a rousing ovation from the packed stadium when he handed it to his daughter. Nassau DA: Hofstra Student Made Up Gang Rape Story

The student who alleged she was gang raped by five men inside a Hofstra University dormitory bathroom on Sunday has admitted to making the entire story up, the Nassau County District Attorney's office confirmed on Wednesday night.

Charges against the four men arrested have since been dropped.

"Late this evening, during the continuation of the Nassau County Police Department's investigation of the allegation, and under questioning by my office's chief trial attorney and chief sex crimes prosecutor, the alleged victim of the sexual assault admitted that the encounter that took place early Sunday morning was consensual."

She should be charged herself.

This is the Duke University rape case all over again. But I noticed that this time Wendy Brown kept her big mouth shut.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Whatever happened to that s***bag prosecutor, and how come prosecutorial misconduct isn't a crime?

The worst part is that it makes true rape victims even more afraid to come forward.

He was disbarred. He was also held in criminal contempt of court and sentencd to one whole day and a $500 fine. The LaCrosse players families sued him and he has now declared bankruptcy.

If prosecutorial misconduct were a crime, most of them would be locked up.

he lost his licence...which is the best part out of it. the sad part though was that duke lost there lacross coach, the 5 players went through hell and might be for the rest of there lives, and the school was more scrutinized than it used to be.

There are more innocent people in prison for the crime of rape than for any other crime...by far. The emergence of DNA evidence was hailed by prosecutors in the early 90s, who thought this new tool would be the best weapon to lock up rapists. It has, in fact, unlocked the cells of more innocent people than they had imagined.

Next Thursday and Friday I'll be attending a dinner and ceremony for the retirement of a good friend of mine, who has served as Director of Reserve Affairs in the Pentagon. He oversaw the administration of all branches of the reserves in the U.S., a job formerly held by Sen. Webb.

We'll be having dinner aboard the USS Barry, and attending the ceremony in the Pentagon. Another friend and I will drive down Thursday afternoon for the dinner and stay overnight. We're getting a high level tour of the Pentagon Friday also. I'm looking forward to this.

My friend is leaving the Marine Corps after 32 years of service, and will return to civilian life as an estimator for a masonry company, his old job. He's leaving with some nice benefits. His son will be able to have his college education paid in full, including books, meals and lodging.
