Toodoped: Thanks buddy! We should continue fighting against these lying paying sites and to protect everyone on this forum, especially the younger generation or posters.
Toodoped: these days lots of people that I know lost their families and everything they had because its legit and even youngsters can chip in
Toodoped: Same as the mob paying sites...ppl pay for "Disneyland" and wiki mob stuff, something which they can find it on their own with a simple google search

Toodoped: Word. Few days ago, over here, they caught one teenager with a gun and more than 60 bullets, while going to school. I wonder what was his plan ?!

He - (Simón Bolívar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!"
So what’s the labyrinth?
That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?
I have no idea how I missed Ted Kennedy! Barely still in the lead...
I glanced at the Board, and it looks like you have 8 points while dontomasso and I have 7 each. There has been an unfortunate flurry of activity in this thread this Summer.

"unfortunate flurry of activity"...what a great choice of words. Spoken like a true laywer.
Yes, and this "unfortunate flurry" resulted in the death of two from the same family (Eunice & Teddy)in two weeks.

Author Dominick Dunne has died today. He's the father of the actress Dominique Dunne who played the oldest daughter in Poltergeist and was killed by her boyfriend. He was dominant during the O.J. Simpson trial. You saw him front and center every day.

Yes, I just heard this news too Beth. I do remember him daily at the OJ trial and later on various talk panels. I guess he wrote for Vanity Fair???? His daughter, as I understand it was killed by her boyfriend?

Some of us will rememember Henry Gibson from Laugh-In. He passed away at 73. At first I thought he was the "very interesting" guy, but to double check, I find he was the guy who read the poems.

Any true Laugh-In fan knows that the 'Very Interestinggggg...' guy is Arte Johnson.
Aside from the hosts Rowan & Martin, I believe that makes Henry Gibson the first to go of the original Laugh-In regulars.

I used to get them mixed up too, TIS.
Bigger news (for me, anyway) is that Mary Travers died.... the "Mary" from "Peter, Paul and Mary".

Oh really! I hadn't heard that SC. Too bad. Are Peter and Paul still around? I don't remember. Anyway, they did harmonize nicely.

Remember the flack about "Puff The Magic Dragon" being about drugs? Thing is didn't that come out in the early 60's before the "drug/hippie" scene?
Anyway, I always liked "Blowin' In the Wind", "Where Have All The Flowers Gone" and "Leaving On A Jet Plane." I think I had a couple of singles by them but no albums.

One of my favorite albums from my college days was their "Ten Years Together". I guess it came out in 1970, and surely was tame compared to many of my other contemporary albums (Led Zeppelin, The Doors, etc.). but it was a GREAT collection of songs.
TIS, I urge you to check out some of their later works... they got into politically cool stuff for kids, and it's something wonderful for you to share with the grandkids now.... even a song like "Puff"... (they later changed it to add how boys AND GIRLS could love a rascal like Puff) - about how kids grow up and sometimes sadly leave their childish things behind.
