As a result our country was left in total shambles war-wise, foreign relation-wise, economy-wise and otherwise. NOW is the time for everyone to come together but that won't happen in the real world I'm afraid.

TIS

Very good points, TIS.

A few years into the war a local news radio proram from a station that airs Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, etc., sponsored a "Support the Troops Rally." They emphasized that regardless of your stance on the war, personal beliefs or your party affiliation, all were encouraged to gather at the PA Capitol Bldg. to show their support for the troops.

People, who chose to show their support for the troops by carrying signs for them to come home now, were verbally scorned and had their signs taken. The radio hosts also condemned them the following day. It turned out that it was a rally for the war, disguised as one for the troops, and they could not understand that one could support the troops while disagreeing with the war.
