I had a dream about our very own TIS last night. She was sitting in front of me on a Sex and the City bus tour, and was reading the exact same copy of a Sopranos book that I had given to a friend who had then sold it on eBay. We got talking, though she had a Yorkshire accent, and when I asked her if she was "an Italian stallionette", she denied all knowledge of an in-reference.

She kindly gave me the book back (it had notes and personal letters of mine in it), but then it was stolen by two expert pickpockets on the subway going to 'the Bronx' (which was south not north of the city I was in), from which I was hoping to catch another train back to 'England'.

Fun times. Delirious times.

Before meeting some of the members here, I had a dream about attending a party with some of them. The best part of the dream was that they all looked like their avatars (does that mean that I was Jeter?). Therefore, Geoff was Waldo. It was a bit bizarre.

I've had many dreams about some of the BB members.

WASHINGTON - Consumers slashed their borrowing in July by the largest amount on record as job losses and uncertainty about the economic recovery prompted Americans to rein in their debt.

Economists expect consumers will continue to spend less, save more and trim debt to get household finances decimated by the recession into better shape. Such behavior, though, is a recipe for a lethargic revival, because consumer spending accounts for 70 percent of economic activity.

I got a flu shot today. And my arm is hurting big time.

I have never had a flu shot in my life. I'm not afraid of needles or anything, but I hardly ever get the flu. (Thank God)

My mother-in-law is a heavy smoker who got pneumonia in January, 2008. When this past winter rolled around, she didn't want to get a flu shot. As the doctor was talking to her about something else, he just gave her the injection while she was in the middle of saying, "I don't think I want a flu shot."

i never had a flu shot, and i will not get the H1N1 shot as well. its just a flu, and it kills if your elder, infant, sick, and prego.

This was the first flu shot I've had. My F-I-L has to ge the flu shot and the ammonia shot cuz he has no immune system due to all the chemo he's taken.

LAKE DALLAS — For about a week, drivers in the Lake Dallas area have reaped the rewards of a battle to sell gasoline.

Two neighboring convenience stores at the southeast corner of Swisher Road and Interstate 35E in Lake Dallas, a new QuikTrip and a Circle K, were selling regular unleaded gasoline for $1.99 per gallon.

Gas priced at $1.99 a gallon is offered Wednesday at the QuikTrip convenience store at the intersection of Interstate 35E and Swisher Road in Lake Dallas. “They had cheap gas at $2.06 when they opened last week,” said Justin Rutherford as he filled up his truck at QuikTrip on Wednesday. “Every time I drive by, it is always busy here.”

Holy Crap!

So I go back to the post office today to make sure everything's fine, AND MY BOX IS EMPTY with a cover on the back indicating it's not in use. This is after spending $70 to renew it and pay for the new lock. EMPTY! I go up to the counter and he checks it, and apparently THERE'S A FORWARDING NOTICE on it -- but he couldn't tell me where my mail was being forwarded to! I didn't ask to have my mail forwarded and now it's going to God-knows-where, and probably thrown away!!

I have to go back Monday AM to "talk" with the appropriate person.
