And I'm pretty sure that he said that his speech is going to be about encouraging children to do well in school. Since he said that's his intention, then you're saying that if he plans to "preach to our kids about political policies", you're calling the President a liar.

And so what if he DID speak to them about political policies? What would be so terribly wrong about it? Shouldn't our children be educated about such things? I want my children to be exposed to as many differing viewpoints as possible. How else can they learn??

He's the President of the United States. He's the leader of our country; he's the Commander in Chief. Whether someone agrees with his viewpoints or not, the office and the man deserve respect and attention.
