It was down about 1/2 hour ago. I got the same message. But then, my facebook is acting crazy tonight too. Not a good cyber night for me.

No it was hours for me. confused A couple times I got the site only for it quickly to disappear with an error message. My best guess was from about 12:00 to maybe 3:00. The error message btw, was all mumblejumble but it did refer to this website, leading me to think it was the site as oppose to my computer, or perhaps my ISP, except I got to every other website I logged on to.

Anyway, no worries. We're back now. grin

It was down briefly about 2 hours ago. Bethie alerted me to it on Facebook and I fixed it within minutes.

Since e-mail, I'm communicating with one old friend, and several cousins that I hardly saw. I could have, I suppose, written letters, but never did. E-mail makes it so easy. I can not ever see "going back" to old fashioned U.S. mail. ohwell

This is one main reason the Post Office is losing so much money, and threatening to cut services. Besides Christmas time, no one really mails anything anymore. All my bills I pay on line. And even family members I can easily call I just shoot an emails to each other at work.

And who ever would have thought that post office would be passe'?

The thing is, this is "progress" and sad as it may be (as far as people losing Post Office jobs), I simply can not see how to avoid it. ohwell

I am still amazed at modern technology and how far we've come. Like I've said many many times, I never in my wildest dreams would have thought I'd have friends throughout, not only the U.S., but other countries, that I can communicate with on a daily basis if I choose to. eek And that's just internet. There's cell phones, Ipods, computer games.

Damn, It wasn't very log ago that everyone had to have a pager. It seems so dated already no? lol

Beth,

I never had a pager either Beth. Everything is happening so fast technology-wise. I have been going for 2 mile walks every day and thought it'd be nice to listen to music. So, for my birthday, I suggested to my kids that I wanted a transister radio lol Of course the follow up question from them was "what?" They suggested an IPOD and I said, no just a little radio. Don't they make those anymore? confused They ended up finding a mini radio (forgot what it's called these days) with headphones and I love it. grin

Yeah, I still have my portable CD player I use when I'm on the bus. My boss laughs especially since he's a few years older than me and he has an Ipod. I might put one on my Christmas list this year. It'll be good also for the treadmill at the gym. That shouldn't be too big a request since my daughter's getting a new tv for Christmas.

She's the technology buff in my family. I only always had the free cell phones. Every time she updgraded, I'll just take her hand me down better phone. I'm actually just using her old blackberry. I don't use it for that purpose, I only use it as a phone. The camera part of it is broke, so after our cruise she's gonna switch and get an Iphone from AT&T. Then I'll get her good blackberry she has now. See, this is how I save money in this recession. I love free hand me downs.

I bought a new digital camera. It's very nice. I've only used it a few times because I think it's confusing. ohwell I really need to study it more because I really do want to be up this new stuff. Yet, clicking a button and winding to the next picture is so easy. tongue

I love digital cameras. No more getting film developed. Plus, you can delete any pictures you don't want. I love just emailing them to families so they can print their own copies.

I always just get the easiest camera they have. I just want to zoom in and push the power button.

I still have my portable CD player (by today's standards it is SOOO large) and my Sony Walkman (portable cassette player). My cell phone, which I keep in my car for emergencies only, collects dust. It doesn't have a camera and I don't know how to text message.

I guess I'm not keeping up with technology.

Baby Einstein? My niece's daughter watches Little Einsteins.

I know this like the back of my hand now since I usually watch her on a Friday or Saturday night, and I get to see this, plub Barney and SpongeBob Squarepants.

If your baby daughter does not move her bowels during a 5-7 day period or her stools are hard pellets, then her medical condition needs some serious attention. A laxative only atttracts the body's fluids to the bowel which means it is leaching the body's fluids from other vital body parts and cell. That's harsh enough for an adult let alone a baby. Having raised six kids, I do know something more than a little bit about doing so and i know when a doctor is prescibing a quick fix(?).

Longneck, we had the same thing happen when my daughter was that age. We had to switch formulas and it helped but never really did take care of the problem entirely. My wife had a hard time until we finally leaned that there was too much Iron in the formula so we had to add more water to dilute the Iron content. Keep in mind that I am not a pediatrician and this was in 1992. It may be worth asking Molly's doctor about? Good luck, brother - I've been there and it is difficult.

I was going to suggest a formula change, LN. Olivant has a point. Once a body becomes dependent on laxatives, it's not a good cycle. Very often, the iron in formula will constipate babies something awful. It took some switching around until we got the right one for our daughter, and she ended up on an iron-free soy formula. It was no problemo after that.

All 3 of my kids couldn't take iron in the formula, so we had to buy a no iron one.

LN, I went through this with my son in 1995, and the formula change, recommended by our pediatrician, was the ticket. It opened the floodgates. I'm not sure what the situation is for your bundle of joy, but I've never heard of prescribing laxatives for infants - it wasn't even a consideration/option for us.

Anyway, take the best care of Molly. She's too beautiful not to have the best of everything.
