I had heard a while back that Gandolfini was not interested and very well may be the case. I guess where some are content to make-up there own ending or, visualize how they wanted it to end, I want to actually "see" how it ended. At least in this particular tv series. Don't know why, but I do. ohwell

I don't accept that Tony went down in a blaze and I don't necessarily accept, they lived happily ever after either. Maybe Chase's idea was just as you say....everyone decides on their own. To me, it's a copout. As though he couldn't think of a "real"ending, so left it to the viewers. I love the show from day one and was hooked on it immediately. I still love the show, but am disppointed in how it ended.
