Actually I did. It does look very nice. Personally though, I couldn't see myself spending $30K+ on a Hyundai. I know it's probably a great car, but if I was going to spend around $35K, I doubt I could get myself to spend it on a Hyundai.

The car actually costs way more than that to produce, but the Korean government is subsidizing the car because they want to break into the luxury auto market. It's gotten great reviews and I hear that it realistically compares to the BMW 5 Series. However, they do have the stigma of the "cheap car" to overcome.

However, 30 years ago when the Corolla and the B210 were first introduced to the American market, nobody would have expected that we would one day be paying what we do for Camry's and Maxima's.

It's so true. I'm a perfect example, and I own 2 Hyundais. The cars do come with the best warranty in the business, and reliability is rated "much better than average". The company has come a long way sine the 80's, when they introduced their junk "Excel" to the U.S. market.

Got gas yesterday at Exxon for $2.27 in Jersey. At this rate, gas should be under $2 when the peak summer driving season ends.

I should have kept my mouth shut. It's gone up twice in the last 7 days.

Same here. Up again today. About 20 cents in the last week.

It went down to $2.59 today.

I just got gas in one of my trucks yesterday and it was $2.94, that is for the expensive stuff. That's all I buy for my 2 trucks.

But Gas has gone up here as well, it went up like 10 cents in just 2 days.

Why are people posting gas prices? What is the signifigance? Unless it has a relevance to a previous price or event, its just a random number.

I think it was caused by El Nino meeting the North Atlantic Oscillation. Second thought, that was the cause of the snow in the Northeast. The rise in gas prices is caused by the Flatulation Nervosa of the Congressional Cranial Constipation.

In case you haven't noticed the price is creeping up. The average on Tuesday was $2.76. Last year's avg. was $2.34. At this time last year it was under $2. But the good news is that "experts" predict it will stay under $3. Get out the K-Y anyway.

If I'm not mistaken, the gas prices usually start to rise about this time of year to meet with the peak summer driving period.

It'll be a small victory of sorts if the price stays under $3.00.

To be honest, since I've retired and don't travel so far, let alone as much, I haven't paid too much attention to gas prices. I can tell you that I probably spend about $40-50 a month on gas. It use to be $140 - $160. But of course, I hope it goes down. Under $3.00 still sounds like a lot, but it may become the norm.
