Nice, Capo.
Pic #4 (you on the ladder) is amazing. Who took it?
My girlfriend. Me picking cherries - or doing anything resembling manual labour - is an occasion not to be missed.
Beautiful pics Mick. Did you have a nice time?
I had a great time. We stayed in one of two newly built (or expanded) houses owned by friends of my girlfriend's parents, one of whom had an art exhibition in Florence at the time. Both houses are situated on a ridge, either side of which are two amazing valleys like the one in the second pic. It's not far into the neighbouring towns, but the drive is made longer because the roads are so winding, up and down up and down. The first pic is of
Monterchi. The one with me and the umbrella is taken in Arezzo. The road behind me is an old Roman road that goes on for miles; absolutely amazing views when you turn the corner onto it from the top end; from the bottom it looks like there's a whole town emerging from the ground. Very impressive.
Also, care to share what's in the bag?
Literally: three bottles of beer. Haha.
