He suffered cardiac arrest and was not breathing when paramedics arrived. eek

LOS ANGELES -- Pop star Michael Jackson has been taken to UCLA Medical Center by ambulance suffering from cardiac arrest, fire officials confirm.

Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a 911 call at Jackson's home around 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda says.

Jackson is renting a home in the Holmby Hills in the 100 block of Carolwood Drive off Sunset Boulevard. It is about two minutes from the UCLA Medical Center.

Family members have been called and are on their way to UCLA, sources say.

UCLA officials are not releasing any details about the pop star's condition.

OMG! HE'S DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michael Jackson Dies

Posted Jun 25th 2009 5:20PM by TMZ Staff

Michael JacksonWe've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.

La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Micheal Is dead frown

It is un-fuckin-believable

He - (Simón Bolívar) - was shaken by the overwhelming revelation that the headlong race between his misfortunes and his dreams was at that moment reaching the finishing line. The rest was darkness. "Damn it," He sighed. "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!"

So what’s the labyrinth?

That’s the mystery isn’t it? Is the labyrinth living or dying? Which is he trying to escape - the world, or, the end of it?

I'm hearing that it's not confirmed, but info has been from several sources.

Man, this is unbeleiveable. Wow!!! eek

Now, as I type this, the L.A. Times is saying he's in a coma.

if he dies this is by far the worst day, and this just makes it the worst year. i know he has done bad stuff, but he did change the music industry...this is just fucking terrible.

Edit: yahoo is reporting he is dead, but CNN isnt...

I'm seeing that now, that's he's in a coma.

But in some cases, as with Natasha Richardson, they keep someone alive for the family to come and say good bye.

Doctor's have been reporting if someone goes into cardiac arrest you have a 3-5 minute window of opportunity.

You know as sickly as he always has been, I wasn't necessarily thinking it was that serious, but yea, the fact that he wasn't breathing, and now in a coma. It certaninly doesn't sound good.

He's been marred by those molestation rumors (and those settlements and trial and fucking bizarre lifestyle reports didn't help), which unfortunately tars the fact that Jackson in the 80s with OFF THE WALL and THRILLER was....well, the King of Pop?

A giant in recording sales and universal appeal of which one could only compare to the Beatles, which MJ famously made a fortune from buying up the Northern Songs catalogue after his then-buddy Paul McCartney advised him to own other people's songs...:D

So yeah if this is true, its unfortunate for MJ the performer. I was kinda hoping he would go out with at least one last respectable song or album or something decent. Oh well.

And of course

You know Capo, he probably will and probably could.

Anyway, are you seeing the crowds by the UCLA Medical Center? Reporters are swarming the place.

RR,

3 of my favorites! smile

I remember when Thriller was released, they showed it at the theater. Yes, for 15 mins they sold tickets. Never got to see it in the theater, but it certainly was big.
