The drive home from work last night was an absolute terror. It rained as hard as I've ever seen here in New York. A lot of flooding and almost constant lightning made it look like daytime (which turned out to be a blessing - I was able to see where the roads were flooded).
It came down so hard that the rain was actually going through the door seal and dripping on me.
The walk out to my car (from my office building) was pretty hairy. The really heavy rain hadn't started yet but the lightning was flashing everywhere.... and there I was walking with a metal cane in puddles. Two minutes after I got into the car the heavens OPENED UP.
