I'm the one who is showing logic in exposing the inconsistency.

For good reason. Carlo wasn't the main point of the movie. To highlight something that is superfluous to the story is not logical.

Hollywood,

Being a made member of these boards ( whatever that means confused ) has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing. Perhaps I was a bit blunt in my post above, but it just seems as though you keep saying the same things over and over regardless of what other post or point out to you.

You most definitely have the right to feel the way that you do in thinking that FFC should have shown us more about Carlo and Sonny in GFI. NO one here is telling you that you are wrong for feeling that way. All that was attempted, from those who replied to you, was to give you possible reasons and explainations as to why FFC may not have gone into more detail regarding Sonny and Carlo's relationship.

All that's been attempted by those who've responded to your post was to provide you with some information as to what the novel told us and what FFC did include in GFII.

No one believes that you are wrong for having the opinion that you have or that you MUST agree with us, but we just have been trying to answer you and clarify the reason why it turned out the way that it did.

In truth, the way that you've replied to our posts almost makes me feel that YOU are annoyed with us for not agreeing with YOU! lol No one disagreed! We just tried to give you possible reasons. wink

THE GODFATHER II FLASHBACK(according to HF)

Sonny - Hey everybody come on, pay attention this my friend Carlo Rizzi. This is my brother Fredo, oh you know Fredo don't you. This is my step brother Tom, that's his girl Theresa, and that cute little thing over there is my sister
Connie. I was telling you about her huh? Connie say hello to Carlo. He's good looking isn't he?

Connie - Yes.

Sonny - Oh and that droopy thing over there that' is my brother Mike. We call him Joe College know what I mean?

Tom - Sit down.

Tessio (enters) I have the cake.

Tom - Hello Sally get in here.

(Tessio opens the cake)

Sonny - Oh golly that's nice.

Connie - Should I put on the candles now?

Sonny - Yeah, go on you help her right Carlo?

Carlo - Sure.

Tom (licks frosting off his finger) Hey thats rum, boy its good. Imagie the nerve of them Japs, those slanty eyed bastards dropping bombs in our back yard...and on Pop's birthday!

Fredo - They didn't know it was Pop's birthday.

Tom - We should have expected it after the oil embargo.

Sonny - What do you mean expect it? What are you some kind of Jap lover or something?

Tesio- I understand 30,000 men enlisted today.

Sonny - A bunch of saps.

Michael - Why are they saps?

Connie - Sonny come on, we don't have to talk about the war.

Sonny - (to Connie ) Beat it! Go talk to Carlo all right?

(Carlo and COnnie leave the room to look at the Christmas tree lights)

Sonny - Lenas in now look everyone, I don't want to talk about the war, but I want you to know that I secretly hate this guy Carlo. He's bad news.

Tessio - I didn't want to say anything but he's chiseling in on my territory.

Tom - I hate him too.

Michael - Then maybe we shouldn't be getting him involved with Connie.

Sonny - Oh? listen to Mr. know it all here. What you think because you go to some college you can get involved with the family. Listen up everyone, I've got a great plan. I'm going to pretend to like him, and I want all of you to go along. Then after they get married, and he starts yelling at her, and beating the shit out of her, I'll start insulting him at the dinner table, and then kick his ass in the street and tell him if he touches her again I'll kill him. Then when he beats her again, I'll just jump in the car, go across the causeway and kill him.

Michael - Isn't that dnagerous? He might betray the family, and I'm not going to be around for long caue I enlisted in the Marines.

Sonny - Shaddup you sap.

I honestly have read the replies, but felt that I was treated as someone who hasn't seen the films or read the book 'properly' which is why my replies may have sounded that way, but we all get a little headstrong when we are talking about these movies...they are those kind of films...

I dont mean to offend anyone.

I hoped that we would come here and reason together. And as a reasonable man I'm willing to do whatever's necessary to -- find a peaceful solution to these problems...Then we are agreed. The opinion of Hollywood will be permitted and respected, but his temper controlled -- and there will be the peace.

No offense taken Hollywood! wink

Perhaps we should take it easy on The Hollywood Finochio? He could be an "interior decorator". Remember what happened to Paulie Walnuts & "Christophah"? Just sayin'... whistle

We can't wait. He's gonna kill Cardi. That's the key for him.
We're talking about a profane finocchio, a finocchio who has no respect. We've got BB'ers on the payroll right? They might like a story like that. This isn't personal, its purely busines.
