Just a thought, admittedly I haven't sat down and watched the trilogy now for about 6 months so my memory is a bit rusty nor have I read The Godfather for a while now either but from memory, Coppola (in the films at least) never covers or show anyone getting made (Michael for instance) or becoming a member of the family.
Am I right?
Excuse me if I have forgotten a scene/moment but I just think it's interesting there's not a moment in the film/s for a ceremony of someone being made?

I know it was 1972 the Godfather came out and that was the same year the Valachi Papers came out.. Was it just that no-one (mainstream) knew about the process until after the Valachi papers came out?
