It seems driver Jeremy Mayfiled has been suspended indefinitely for failing a random drug test.

What type of drugs are banned in NASCAR? Are any of them performance enhancing or do they just want to make sure the drivers are clean from all drugs to set a good example?

Well BB I've been unable to find what type of drugs are banned. I would assume all types but I could be wrong

I would imagine they don't want drivers in a field with 42 other people driving upwards of 200MPH with anything in their system.

So there's nothing performance enhancing then? I guess maybe something like speed or whatever that keeps the awake and extra focused.
