This is mostly for Beth.

Tonight I was at a 50th birthday party for a friend. One of her guests was Glenn Ressler, who played for the Baltimore Colts as a starting left guard in the mid-60s to mid-70s. Now in his 60s he still looked like he could play. I was embarrassed that his name was unfamiliar to me, and even more embarrassed when I learned after the party that he won the 1964 Maxwell Award for the nation's best collegiate football player when he played OL and DL for a young Joe Paterno in Penn State. He was wearing his Super Bowl V ring, but it was interesting to hear him talk about Unitas, Namath, Bubba Smith, Don Shula, Chuck Noll and Vince Lombardi.

Have you heard of him, Beth. He's before your time.
