Yeah, Jay Severin, by the way, was born James Severino. Does he not realize that we Italian-Americans were treated the same way in America for most of the last century?

It turns out Jay Severin, whose full name is Jay Severin III, changed his name from Jimmy Severino after he began working as a consultant for the Republican party in the late 80’s. We suppose getting political advice from a greasy wop didn’t sit well with the GOP.

What it seems we have in Jay Severin III, or little Jimmy Severino, is a self-loathing Italian-American who wants so badly to be in with the American upper crust that he’ll forsake his name and invent an entire past to do it. Unfortunately, it’s not that easy to fit in with the blue bloods, so instead he’s found an eager group of sycophants in the uneducated masses who listen to his show.
