I put an ad in craigslist and actually got two responses. I had told that I would pay $5 for a bag, but one gentleman offered 4 bags free of cost. He had collected oak leaves and twigs falling off his roof for garden mulch and he had more than he needed.
Cool. If he lives near you there'd be no postage charges, but if you're gonna go to his home, take someone with you.
Actually I already picked them up yesterday. I know it is always scary to trust strangers. I had told my friend that i would call her before meeting him and wanted her to check back with me in 10 min or assume something wrong. Nothing of that sort happened. he was an old man who already had the trash bags outside his home by the time I reached there and it was over in 10 min.
