There will be a lot of cutbacks at my school district too (job cuts, both for certificated/classified possitions), layoffs, and budget cuts. In the words of our Principal, "brace yourselves" Doesn't look good.
There have also been rumors of a "golden handshake" retirement package offered to some. I say, "make me an offer I can't refuse" and I'm outta there.
