He holds the office now. And if he can get the job done then God bless him.
BTW Obama save the country even more money by putting a pay raise freeze on the Senators and Congressmen. Or make them take a pay cut. Other people have to so why not them.
I don't think he has the power to do that. I'm sure they'd have to pass a bill to do this, and I doubt many of them are going to vote in favor of it.
