In SoCal it's the time of the year when it's cool in the morning and evening, but "could" warm to the 80's during the day (even tho an average winter daytime temp is around 58/62ish maybe). Anyway, 80 degrees today. I love it. It was in the 60's and high 50's the last couple weeks, This is unseasonably warm right now. We do have strong winds though. TIS

Two people were killed this morning in a 25-car pileup on the Indiana Toll Road in Porter County.
John Liefbroer, 69, of Chesterton, died at Porter hospital after being taken from the scene of the accident at the 29-mile marker. Another person in the Liefbroer's vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Coroner Victoria Deppe. Family notification has not yet been made so Deppe could not release the name.
Snow and cold were freezing up area roadways Wednesday morning, as low visibility and slick pavement have caused dozens of accidents. The State Police reopened the toll road at about 1:30 p.m.
The toll road crash involving “numerous” vehicles closed westbound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road west of the U.S. 49 exit around 10 a.m., said State Police Lt. Dallard Tackett.
Reports indicated at least 25 vehicles were involved in the pileup.
Tackett said it will likely take workers hours to clear the highway, and troopers are diverting westbound traffic to the Borman Expressway.
Don Parker, a Wanatah resident and former Post-Tribune Newspapers in Education co-ordinator, whose vehicle was totaled in the crash, said the roadway about two miles west of the exit became “like glass” and that vehicles slowing to avoid the wreck began fish-tailing.
“People weren’t even going that fast. Back east of us the road was almost completely clear,” said Parker, who braked to avoid a tractor trailer that had begun to swerve in front of him and wound up skidding sideways into the back of the trailer.
“I”m fine, but I’m looking at cars in the ditch all around me,” said Parker, calling from his cell phone shortly after 10 a.m. “I’m going to have to wait for a tow and I’m done for the day, I think.”
State Police are dealing with dozens of crashes on the Borman and Interstate 65, including a six-car pileup on the westbound Borman east of Ripley that has slowed traffic to a crawl, said Sgt. Ann Wojas of the Lowell Post. Road conditions have deteriorated steadily since snowfall began around midnight, and drivers must slow down, Wojas said.
“When I was driving in, people were blowing past me at 75 miles per hour in the left lane, which was completely covered in snow,” Wojas said. “You have to slow down.”
More than 3 inches of snow has fallen in some parts of Northwest Indiana, with southern Lake and Porter counties receiving the deepest accumulations so far, said Charles Mott, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Romeovill, Ill.
Snow is expected to continue into the evening, with as much as 7 inches blanketing some areas. Temperatures also will continue to fall, to a low of -6 degrees by evening, and wind gusts of up to 35 miles per hour will create a windchill of -24 degrees, Mott said.
