I don't remember it vividly, but I didn't get that impression. One of the reasons to like it perhaps was the fact that others hated it for being a gay movie. I subconsciously had to take a different stance then, I guess

But I remember one scene where the wife finds out when she spots them hugging (or kissing - forgot) outside. That was passionate I guess.
