Good points TB, but I would think the bodyguard would be bound by Omerta, and he didn't look like the kind of guy who would sing. Even so, if Michael though he could buy his way in, why wouldnt he buy his way out of the murder of Roth as well. He could say the bodyguard (assuming he talked) made it all up.
Besides, to Michael thebodyguard was expendable. If he sent a plane there it would be to lure the body guard to the airport so the pilot could shoot him.
