I have followed Haye since the amateurs and i just think he has what it takes. You are right, he isn't hot on defence and he does get dropped. However he has thunder in his fists and great attitude and fitness. The K's are the best 2 heavies around now but they have that solid,upright,relentless jabbing style which Haye would exploit. Also they have both been beaten,dropped and cut. finally they are not getting any younger.

So i would back him to beat them both,but not on the same night maybe! Give him a week in between to recover

HBO ran the video of Calzaghe/Jones Saturday night. Never a question of who won. Joe was all over Roy, who was just a shadow of his former self. The Jones of 6-7 years ago would have been faster than Calzaghe, and would have put up with Joe's flurries by outboxing him and tiring him out. This time around Roy spent far too much time against the ropes, getting battered. And, it was the first time I've seen him cut--which tells you how slow he's gotten.
Well-earned victory for Joe, but I feel bad for Roy.

Roy will still go down as one of the top 20 Boxers to ever step in the ring IMO. He needs to get out NOW though before he becomes a cliche of a past champ.

I'd say Sugar Ray Robinson, Mohammed Ali, Joe Louis, Henry Armstrong and (resching way back) Harry Greb. The first three are pretty obvious. The last two held multiple weight class titles simultaneously.

I watched a tape of Vic Darchenyan, aka "Raging Bull," Aussie via Armenia, take apart a very talented Mexican fighter, Christian Mijares, in 9. That guy comes to fight! Little guy, big heart.

Good fight for Hatton. I found this bout a little boring though. The ending was ridiculous. I couldn't believe M's corner threw in the towel at that particular point of the match. He was loosing the fight easily, But he was no where near a TKO when his corner stopped the fight. M even walked up to his trainer and pushed him because of it. Oh well. Good job Hatton.

Paulie, no puncher he, had a chance to win on points if he'd moved and boxed. Instead he stood right in front of Ricky and absorbed punishment. He wasn't really in the fight for most rounds. McGirt throwing in the towel was a mixed call: pride vs. punishment? Paulie looked like he was crying.

Yeah, he did start crying a little bit. The frustration got to him.

I still think the McGirt move was a little premature.

I've never been impressed with Malignaggi. He has absolutely no power and his manufactured persona annoys me. As for Hatton, he wants the winner of DLH/Pacquiao.
