That's ridiculous. And people get mad at me for making fun of small town America. Sorry, but I'd much rather be thought of as a stuck up, pompous, New York City ass, than as a hateful goober from Small Town, U.S.A.

I'm a practicing Catholic, yet I never, ever try to shove my religious beliefs down anyone's throat. I'm a graduate of Fordham University and minored in theology there, where the Jesuits implored us to study other religions and to respect the beliefs of others. I guess that's where my deep respect for Judaism sprang from (plus, I worked in the Jewish community for over twenty years).

My point is, what if Obama is a Muslim? As long as he's not a fundamentalist, religious zealot----which ALL religions unfortunately spawn, including Christianity and Judaism----what's the difference?

At least I have good reason to root against Kansas in college sports now.
