TIS

Just yesterday morning while driving to work I flipped through the radio stations and heard John Fogerty's "Center Field." I never realized it but, in that popular tune from the 80's is the line: A-roundin’ third, and headed for home, it’s a brown-eyed handsome man;, which is of course from "Brown Eyed Handsome Man", a song originally done by, who else, the true King of Rock n Roll, Mr. Chuck Berry.

It's been covered by various other artists, though. Buddy Holly and Waylon Jennings (one-time band mates) both recorded it; Jennings often employed the number in a medley during performances.
