"Italian Americans speak Italian very bad. I met some in the US and they really don't know any gramar. This because the Italians who initially emigrated to the US were poor and illiterate and spoke only local dialects. What they're speaking here has nothing to do with Italian. It's some sort of sicilian mixed with calabrian with an american accent. An average person from, say, Milan or Venice would have problems in understading this. (Indeed in the italian version they've dubbed this part too). "
