PBS stands for "Public Broadcasting System." It's a US TV network that's partly funded by the government and doesn't have adverts like the commercial TV stations. PBS has always had a connection with BBC and Granada Television, and has shown lots of splendid UK dramatic series like "Upstairs, Downstairs," and "Foyle's War," to name just two. But I don't know if there's any reciprocity for PBS programs to be shipped to the UK.
