They've already started here also. They are saying that the authorities will really be cracking down this year in NYC and the boroughs.

Personally, I think that the city has gone a wee bit overboard by banning such simple things like Snappers and Sparklers. That's just totally ridiculous!

I'll be celebrating the 4th at a friend's house with several other families. He always gets his hands on large fireworks, the type that are set off at stadiums and public displays. He promises an even bigger display. The over/under on the arrival of the police is 10 minutes.

They have never allowed fireworks of any kind in my area of Califoria. Organized fireworks displays are allowed but not privately. However, do you think that stops some people? I always hear firecrackers throughout the evening. When my kids were little I would buy them sparklers, but that's about it. ohwell
