Has anybody here been keeping up to date with the Zimbabwe Crisis?
It's just took a turn for the worrying.
The second election had been held, where Mugabe is the only candidate after Tsvangirai pulled out, calling it "a futile attempt to promote legitimancy". Not all Mugabe supporters turned up to vote in the second election, and those that have had had their thumb stained red to prove they have been there.
"Operation Red Thumb" has started, to find those Mugabe supporters who did not vote. They will be beaten and/or killed. The European Commission has said it is powerless to do anything.
To solve this, the USA can't get involved(look what happens when they do - Somalia, Modaguishu, aka, Black Hawk Down). South African troops will have to cross the border and fight a war with Zimbabwe, probably unleashing other countries in Africa to join the conflict.
