Our day-to-day car is a 2002 Honda Civic with the regular (non-VTEC) 117-hp 4 cylinder engine and auto trans. We've never gotten less than 30 mpg under any driving conditions, and up to 38 on the road. Great car.
I have an '01 Civic coupe (w/ AT), but honestly cannot remember what model (DX/HX/LX/EX) as I got it used a few years ago. Love it! I've been meaning to calculate my MPG from gas receipts, but didn't think it was 30+ ... cool! (Well, maybe a bit less for me since since I accelerate like a jackass when I'm impatient (24/7) lol). About $40/tank to basically fill it, I guess more now since the last time (used to be half that ).
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol
