I met John McCain at a rally last month at the courthouse steps here in Prescott AZ. One of his (many) homes is here in Yavapai County (Cornville). He chose the courthouse steps for his final speech of the primary campaign because Barry Goldwater launched his '64 Presidential bid from the courthouse steps. (Goldwater is revered here--his uncle was Mayor for five terms.) Also met Mrs. McCain, who was wearing enough pancake makeup for five TV news anchors.
He gave a nice speech. I neglected to tell him that I'm voting for Obama.
