i finished the book last night, surprised to finish it in seven days! i love it! i love trying new authors' literature and puzo's, although a little simple compared to my usual readings, is surpisingly (in a pleasant way!) great. i love the way he explains what events have happened in the duration of michael being away and coming back--without making these explanations too long or too short. the ending is a nice way of wrapping up the story.

i was glad to find that FFC decided to put some extra scenes in the movie which WERENT

I finished it today!!! I loved it also. All the inricate details of the Family were amazing. I loved all the description and I found the explanation of Luca Brasi and Al Neri to be fascinating. But my favorite "new" part would have to be in regars to the Bocchicchio Family. That was incredible. But after reading the book, I appreciate the movie even more (didn't think that could happen wink ). It made me realize how beautifully the screenplay was...great stuff.

CdLCN's original post is continued here ...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol
