We already have a substantial gas tax. This really stinks, and we won't accept it silently.

New York State is going to start charging a sales tax on all internet purchases effective June 1st.

Now that there is so much purchasing done over the internet, I'm sure they feel this is a way to get money back into the state coffers. They even want you to claim on your income taxes if you bought clothes in NJ, which doesn't charge sales tax, so that you can pay it at that time!!
