I don't dislike Benedict, but I was so use to John Paul and really found him likeable. He was Pope so long that I think it may take a while to get use to this one. Don't know if he has the charisma as JP, but so far from what I can tell, the people are responding positively to him.
TIS, I don't know how much of the coverage you've watched, but Benedict is certainly no slouch in the charisma department. He may not have the "group" appeal that JP had but watching him do the "one-on-one" meetings I've concluded that Benedict is peerless.
