i'll take a look for a recipe or two. One that I remember is Hacienda beans, which was pretty easy to make. It involved onions, peppers and baked beans and probably a few other ingredients.

If you're serving refried beans though, you may not want a second dish that's similar. By the way, I made soft tacos for the kids yesterday. They always go over well.

Each year my daughter's girl scout pack has a "Daddy/Daughter Dance" with a special theme, and last year the theme was Mexican. There were plenty of brightly colored sombreros, ponchos and pinatas. They keep the food simple at these events, but I remember the desserts of fried ice cream and cinnamon sticks were big hits with the kids.
