Got another one, one that says it's compatible with my computer for $80+ to return now. Did the dell chat thing, MUCH better than the phone, less than a minute to talk to someone too...

I checked the warranty on my computer, 35 days left. They are sending someone out to replace the motherboard and give me another adapter, freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. (well, I paid for the warranty....but a new hard drive, something with the monitor, and motherboard later, I'm thinking I got my money's worth.)
