I will say that I find it amusing how our (and that extends to the US, I guess) news stations absolutely admire without question Paul McCartney. Anything or anyone that might intrude upon his iconic status is hounded and killed off with ruthless haste. It's quite funny: The Beatles are untouchable; we're very defensive and proud of our cultural exports.
