El Topo (1970 - Alejandro Jodorowsky) *** Jodorowsky definitely makes a courageous movie here. Mix Lynchian weirdness with the vision of Pasolini and you may come close to El Topo. Sprawling scenery, amazing cinematography and the choice of themes make it worth watching it, in spite of a hugely ambiguous plot. Violence, religion, society, lust .... what one takes from this movie entirely depends on the viewer.
