I saw shoes in the Kohl's circular that I fell in love with. Over the weekend, my daughter got a big tip at her job. Today she came home with the shoes for me.

I admit that she brought a tear to my eye.

LN, she and I had a fight on Saturday morning because I had to go up and down the stairs 3 times to wake her up for play practice. Then, she wanted to go out on Saturday night, but the weather was so horrific that we wouldn't let her. Needless to say, it was not pretty around here this weekend.

When she brought me the shoes today, I know it was her way of saying she was sorry. Add that to the fact that she actually listened to something I said made them all the more special.

Edit: And, yes, shoes rule.

In a double whammy this week i found out that my cousin has gone blind in one way due to diabetes complications, he also needs an op on the other eye to save the sight in it,apparently his blood vessells behind his retina are leaking? He is only 40 and is a good bloke,married with 3 fine boys. Hopefully they can sort him out quickly.

Secondly, my uncle has to get an operation on the nerves in his face because he is in constant agony from the pain they give him. If he does'nt get this sorted out soon he may be left with a paralysed face
Of course he has suffered with this for years in silence thinking it would just go away. Again,hopefully a quick op can sort him out also!

I just found out the optician who performed my LASIK surgery eight years ago is being sued for malpractice.

I went from -8 in each eye, that's 20/800 (almost legally blind without my glasses), to 20/20. Eight years later, I'm still 20/20. But still, it kind of made me nervous.

Lots of patients sue for malpractice when there was no malpractice. For example, say you had laser surgery and were supposed to put in antibiotic drops for a week afterwards. You did it for the first three days and then stopped, and you developed and infection and went blind. You now decide it was the doctor's fault and you sue him. It happens all the time.
