As I've said before...it's quite simple.

When you make a Marinara Sauce, or a spaghetti sauce, a bolognese sauce, a mushroom sauce, a puttanesca sauce, it's called SAUCE.

Once you add Meatballs, Sausage, and / or Bracciole, it becomes a GRAVY.

Marinara, Bolognese, Puttanesca Sauce.
