2.89 here. Not only the gas prices piss me off but the food prices as well. 3.19 for a gallon of milk and not too long ago I was paying 1.99 for 2%.

I'll trade places with you, Mig. Gas here is about $3.40 and up per gallon and $4 for a gallon of milk.

Either in NJ (where it's still about $3 per gallon close to the border) or my local Costco. Costco just installed gas pumps and it's $2.97 per gallon, but you have to pump your own. NJ is nice because it's full serve.

I feel bad for people who have a couple of small kids. Gallons of milk go pretty rapidly in homes like that. When you can't afford to keep milk in your house, that's really sad.

One of the major contributors to the rapid rise in milk prices is the high cost of fuel.

That and the rising cost of feed. The corn is being used to produce ethanol (do I have that right?).

Stock up on K-Y boys and girls, we're going to be taking it in the arse. GOOOd News, Oil prices are going down. Gas is going up, why?????? Alkalyte is in short supply. What the fuck is Alkalyte, you ask? It's an additive that is in short supply and it comes into play when they convert to Summer gas. The raping never ends. I'm beginning to like it. My rectum is getting tougher.

The big question is ...which Pres candidate will be the first to acknowledge that the BIG OIL companies are the # 1 molester?

Here in New York, the MTA really is your best bet. Even if they do up the unlimited MetroCard a few bucks, it's still MUCH cheaper than driving everywhere you go.

The Metro Card is $64.00 a month here. What is it in New York?

That actually isn't that bad. I thought it would be a lot higher.

This is one thing that's good about not driving. Factor in the gas plus the price just to park your car. I'm not paying that kind of money to go to a job I can't stand.

Well, I live in the East Bronx, but I'm in Manhattan almost daily. Under ideal circumstances (gas< $3 per gallon and no traffic) I'd still rather take the train. When you live your entire life in the city, it just becomes habit. The only time I really enjoy driving is when I drive up to Westchester or out to the Island to visit with friends and family or to play golf or go to the beach.

You could pay $78.00 just to gas up your car easily. To have the freedom, and not worry about the hassle of finding a parking space is worth it.

Dealing with the various types of people that ride the MTA is a whole different ball of wax.

That's true, but for the most part you learn to enjoy them, as long as they're not shooting at you.

Nothing says New York City like the smell of coffee at Grand Central at 6 in the morning. I absolutely never get tired of it.

Yesterday, leading up to the game, channel 11 had a mini "Raymond" marathon. When Peter Boyle said that, I almost became incontinent. I just had to post it!

Wow, PB you just shook a memory cell loose in my brain. The smells of NYC never leave your olfactory memory bank. For some bizarre reason I'm longing for a subway ride - The A train from 42nd St to Fulton.

The local prices have dropped quite a bit this past week. I saw gas for $3.09/gallon last night on my way home. Thats the lowest I've seen in about 4 months.

(They made their record profits... now they'll give us a two week period of lower rates to make us feel better).
