With you on that one, Don Cardi smile I think the reason I hate the soundtrack so much is that it was so very eighties, and so having discovered the film in the late 90s it seemed very dated to me. And often people detest the music of the decade they grew up in... so fair enough, you got me. I'm biased on the music!
