Tony doesnt lust after Gina. In my opinion what he is doing is desperately trying to preserve the only `pure` thing that is left in his life. He tries to do this by segregating her from his world and all the people in it. Also, remember that Tony had a long spell without seeing Gina while he was in Jail, Maybe he feels that he has a lot of Protective Brotherly duties to fulfill.
