LLC,

You only get one week for Christmas break? \:o The high schools in my district are still on the traditional school year and they still get two weeks. I don't think any school district here gets only one week.

As far as the first day of being Christmas Eve, I guess here it depends on when it falls. Our breaks always begin on a Monday (not midweek). This year Dec. 21st is the last Friday before Christmas, so the break begins (technically) the following Monday, Dec. 24, but the kids don't return to school until Jan. 7th, giving them two weeks. In my district it's only the elementary and middle schools on the "modified" year round schecule giving us a three week Christmas break and a two weeks spring break.
