Hey everybody well something happened at my school today so let me just rewind. K in a post below there was someguy who said he was doing a play about Scarface but it was cancelled and thats kinda what this is about. We were just assinged in English to write a short story and the deadline is in 3 MONTHS! so I have decided to do a story based around the Scarface time (1980) but is som ewhat a prequel.I have alreadfy written out a plot line and the chaacters so I'm set to go... but i need some help from you guys. Scarface is notorius for the Violent Chainsaw scene and I want to create my one scene somewhat like that but original. Please.. post any kind of idea that could be placed in a movie like scarface not "lazer cannon cuts his eye balls out" Thanks in advance!

What you could do, is explain how he came to be now as 'scarface', maybe some morbid accident that occured when he was an assasin in Cuba involving a rival gang??????

There's actually a book adopted from the screenplay that I found on like eBay or amazon.com that I read. It's very interesting as it starts pretty much from Tony's beginning as a teenager & how he got his scar, stuff like that. As for the chainsaw scene, you could have a scene where Hector grabs a baseball bat (I'm more partial to baseball bats), ties down Angel with his feet sitting on another chair & have him beat down on his legs, while they're resting on the chair to tell him where the money is and so on. Hope this is somewhat what you're looking for.

I was the "guy" with the Scarface play. Doesn't anyone know my name? Anyway, what we were planning to do was to get some sound effects of chainsaws, turn off all the lights, have a big white curtain cover Angel, Tony, Hector and his guards, then with a light,we would shine them and it would be like a outline of what was happening. That way, it wouldn't be so gory and all. Is this good? I got a bunch of other ideas if you need em.

you could show how tony got his scar, maybe like he was backin up manny in a fight, when they first met and they were friends ever since...

yeha Al Pacino created a small backstory as he said back in Cuba Tony got the scar back in a gnag fight with knives. He says this in documentary on the DVD, as Pacino was trying to get into character and bring him to life.
