I also own *61. As far as baseball movies go I think it may be my favorite. I'm not sure because I'm just now putting thought into all the baseball movies I have seen. *61 is definitely in my top three if not number one.
"61*" is definitely a great movie. Billy Crystal really captured the mood of the day with this film (so much antagonism towards Roger Maris).
I taped it when HBO first aired it and realized (as I was watching it then) that I was some 100' from where I saw Maris hit the 61st some 40 years earlier.
If you wanna watch a decent baseball (themed) movie I'd recommend "Stealing Home".
