They definitely forgot to bring the funny when Sorkin left.

But the last 2 seasons would have been on a decline anyway I think since Bartlett would have been winding down his second term. The show would have had to focus on new presidential candidates anyway. Once they got away from the current administration the show didn't have the same feel.
